Black Ops 2: The Rescuing of Frank Woods?
If you go back to Black Ops’ mission Payback, you would remember that Woods died from being in an explosion and killing Kravchenko. But he’s not dead. “We live in a world where seeing is not believing,” remember? And I have proof.
Treyarch put a HUGE Easter egg right in the Black Ops’ main menu. You could access a command line computer with many, many more Easter eggs. And one of them were emails of a mysterious informant named “X“.
“X” sent an email (Yes, there are emails in 1978.) to Mason, saying that Woods is alive and is a POW at Hanoi Hilton.
If you can’t read that, it says:
July 4, 1978
Mr. Mason —
Woods is alive and remains the sole remaining American guest at the Hanoi Hilton.
Thought you should know.
— X —
And that didn’t come from me, it came directly from the game.
According to the text, the email was sent in 1978, 10 years after Black Ops’ final campaign mission, Redemption (set in 1968). So Woods has been in the POW camp for nearly 10 years now and remains the only American left.
Don’t you think it’s clear that Black Ops 2 will be set as a rescue mission for Woods?
