Sony Vita’s Battery Life

Sony recently announced the battery life of their next-gen handheld the Playstation Vita. The Vita is capable of 3-5 hours of gaming, 5  hours of video playback, and 9 hours of music playback. These estimates are based off a couple different factors including the device brightness (Default), Bluetooth (Disabled), as well as Wi-Fi (disabled). They said that it only takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to recharge the handheld. Honestly, I think Sony could have done better in terms of battery life. I am not saying that this handheld isn’t going to be good I am just saying that I wish that they could have extended the battery life so the hours of playing could be more. If I were them I would have taken the advantage of releasing the handheld after the 3DS because they could have out done the 3DS a lot in terms of battery life considering they are similar as of right now. Anyways the Vita is going to be released in Japan on December 17th so that may hint towards the date of when it will be released for the U.S.
