FIFA Players On Xbox Live Get Hacked

By Scott Pell

Over the past few weeks, Xbox Live users have had
unwanted purchased towards Xbox Live on their credit card. The one thing in
common between these purchases is that all of the Xbox Live users have been
playing EA Sports: FIFA 12. Microsoft said that they were looking into
it, and working with those affected by the hacks. EA also commented on the
debacle saying “With the popularity of FIFA globally, and the sheer number of
players playing the game online, FIFA is an obvious target for phishers and
frauds.”

Hacking is a serious crime, and it’s extremely
unfortunate when you’re on the other end of things. Here’s hoping that this
string of hacking is put to an end, and the people who were affected can get
their money back and have the wrong doings undone.
